With the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Tianjin’s intense application for free trade zone, Tianjin port free trade zone and airport economic zone have been attracting more attention of cross-border e-commerce at home and abroad.
On Dec 10th 2014, the round-table conference about the cross-border e-commerce industry was sponsored by Tianjin Business Committee and Administrative Committee of Tianjin Airport Economic Zone. Forty business leaders from well-known cross-border e-commerce, Express logistics, third-party payment and other industries sate together and made a further talk about how to make use of Tianjin’s regional superiority to develop cross-border e-commerce.
In order to accelerate the development of cross-border e-commerce and to promote the transformation and upgrades of foreign trade, Tianjin Commission of Commerce has designated Tianjin port bonded zone (airport economic zone) as the innovative experimental zone of cross-border e-commerce in Tianjin.
As Tianjin airway and port function are continuously improved and perfect, a large number of overseas commodity would be directly delivered to all parts of China. For the consumers of Tianjin and its neighboring provinces & cities, logistic time and cost would be greatly cut down. Meanwhile, the logistic industry in Tianjin would also be promoted.
Cross-border e-commerce has been regarded as the key industry of logistic park. As the first comprehensive square with a total area of nearly 30,000 kilometers in Tianjin port bonded zone, Haiwei Plaza integrating warehouse, exhibition, commerce with other functions has attracted great attention of cross-border e-commerce. Many cross-border businesses plan to enter the plaza. Haiwei Plaza plays an important role in undertaking and developing the superiority of bonded zone.
According to the introduction of relevant director of Administrative Committee, with the regular enhancement of Tianjin’s regional superiority, there will be more and more large good potential projects entering Tianjin, which will promote the development of cross-border e-commerce industry in a faster and stronger way.
